Uber is facing an internal review after a New York City taxi driver allegedly sexually assaulted a passenger and posted a video on social media.
The driver was arrested Monday on charges of sexual assault, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
Uber spokeswoman Megan Smith said the driver, who is not being identified, was suspended without pay pending the investigation.
She said the company would “never tolerate any kind of harassment or abuse of any kind.”
Uber said it had no comment on the case and declined to release more details.
