Man dies after he suffered cardiac arrest in a car accident on New Years Eve in California, authorities said.
The California Highway Patrol said in a news release that 28-year-old Michael L. DeAngelis of Santa Clarita died at the scene of the accident at about 11:20 p.m.
Sunday on Highway 80.
Deangelis was taken to the hospital where he later died.
DeAngelis was driving a Honda Odyssey on Interstate 10 near the Santa Ana border when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tractor-trailer.
Deangelis and his wife, 25-year.
Brittany, were pronounced dead at the hospital, the CHP said.
DeVier was also pronounced dead in the hospital.
The crash remains under investigation, and officials were not releasing any additional details, including if the driver of the Honda Odyssey was cited or if any citations were issued.
