A South Carolina man whose diagnosis with breast and ovarian cancer prompted him to leave his home and seek treatment has died.
In December, the 52-year-old was diagnosed at Duke University Hospital with both breast and Ovarian cancer, according to a statement released Tuesday by the Charleston County Coroner’s Office.
“The family is devastated by the loss of their beloved son, father and husband, and the loss and pain they’ve caused, the Charleston News-Mail reported.
He will be deeply missed by his friends and family, said the statement, which said his wife, Tonia Davenport, said he would not be a “burden on them.”
The family will be sending their deepest sympathy to Tonia and her family.
